Executive ManagementEdwin Lightbourn (General Manager) began his career as a newspaper reporter and was editor of the Freeport News and manager of the ZNS Northern Service on Grand Bahama. He served as assistant General Manager of the Broadcasting Corporation of The Bahamas (BCB)/Northern Service from 1993 and was general manager of the BCB from 1997 to 2002, when he was transferred to head the Ministry of Tourism’s News Bureau. He was reappointed as BCB General Manager in 2009. Mr. Lightbourn has served as president and vice president of the Caribbean Broadcasting Union, headquartered in Barbados, and was a member of the Board of Directors of Caribbean Media Corporation. He has an undergraduate degree in communications from the University of Houston, Texas and has completed managerial courses from Columbia University Graduate School of Business. Kayleaser Deveaux-Isaacs (Deputy General Manager) has more than 12 years of broadcasting experience. Before joining the BCB in 2007, she worked at Fox News Channel in New York City and Washington, DC for seven years; she rose to News and Special Events Producer for a variety of programmes and was awarded the inaugural Fox News Channel Apprentice Award by CEO Roger Ailes in 2004. Prior to her career in Journalism, she worked at the Bahamas Ministries of Tourism and Foreign Affairs both in New York City while completing her undergraduate degree at Bernard Baruch College. Mrs. Deveaux-Isaacs also earned a graduate degree from the New School University and a Diploma from Oxford University, England. She served as the Bahamian representative for the 2012 Olympic Games Broadcast Coverage discussions in Barbados, and the Miss Universe (2009) Broadcast Committee in the Bahamas. She has worked on stage and television productions in New York City as both Producer and Actor. Eugene Higgs (Financial Controller) is a Certified Public Accountant with undergraduate degree in business administration from the University of South Florida and Mankato State University, Minnesota. He is a member of the Bahamas Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Illinois Society of CPAs. Mr. Higgs has worked in public accounting as manager of one of the largest accounting firms in Nassau as well as private industries. He began his career as a teacher and is a trained youth worker. He is a former chairman of the National Junkanoo Committee. |
